GODMEN is not a cheesy “Men’s Ministry”…we don’t have t-shirts, coffee mugs, or take oaths we just work at being GODMEN.  Most Men’s Ministries seem to be based on a ladies tea model – “let’s come and talk about how we feel, share our problems, be vulnerable”...WHAT?  Men, this ain’t Oprah.

At GODMEN, we cut up, laugh, break things, watch football on an 84 inch projection television screen (seriously), eat, and give you practical tools, and real life skill sets to live by or to be a GODMAN.

For instance, we recently won a grant form the National Fatherhood Initiative (NFI) and have since built a great relationship with NFI.  In our 10 week session we discussed techniques, ideas, and ways to be a better father.  What Man doesn’t want to be a 24/7 Dad?  We talk about male identity; issues of hidden pain; the nature of lust and the holy grail of male frustration – Anger.

We do quarterly adventure events like: “Old School Bowling”, paint balling (yes, it stings -- man up), whitewater rafting, charter fishing, and various community work projects.

We meet bi-monthly (6 times a year) for a dinner & God Talk on Friday Night’s from 7:30 – 9pm.

GODMEN is led by Breon Martin, a husband, a father, and a Marine, who is preparing for the ministry. He is currently studying Christian counseling with an emphasis in men’s mental health. You think Dr. Phil is straight?
