At KOGY we help high school students answer the questions:
“Who am I?”
"What am I going to do?"
"How am I going to do it?"
In light of what the Word of God and Holy Spirit have to say.
At KOGY not only do we want you to be able to reason out and '"own" your faith. We want to build relationships with you and get this...at CLC we treat youth like adults not children...so in other words your insights and perspectives are valued.
We do something very different than other young groups. We have Small groups and Big Group Meetings.
Small Groups
On the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the Month, the Girls Group meets at 7:30-9pm at a parent’s house.
On the 2nd & 4th Friday of the Month, the Guys Group meets at 8-9:30pm either a parent’s house or here at CLC.
Big Group Meeting
1st & 3rd Friday 7:30-9:30. Parents pick up no later than 10pm
Our Big Group Meeting looks something like this:
| 7:30pm |
Eat, Hang Out, & Talk |
| 8–9pm |
God Talk conversation |
| 9:30pm |
Pray & Hang Out |
So enough on the serious stuff...Do we have fun? YES! Our Wed night group has a open discussion format, we go to NYC often for worship night called "The Gathering" and we do trips to Creation and various other places around the country.
Our Teaching & Formation Pastor, Bobby Nemeth loves challenging young people to think and own their faith for themselves. He is most proud of his series on worldview where he used Marilyn Manson as an illustration.
He prefaced it to Jamé by saying, “Tonight is the night I get fired.”
